I’m a pragmatic and driven Human Resources Director with International experience. I like pink hair, fun and funky clothes, and wine. I like travel and taking photos and watching Netflix. I love living in Singapore with my husband Arran and my two sons Aiden and Charlie.
My passion and focus is developing people, in particular leaders and women. I'm interested in building great businesses and great careers. I love working with people to support them to learn the best way to manage their life, family and career. Sometimes we all need a little support and inspiration to get there and I like working with people on short sharp interventions that really make a difference.
I don’t like the latest organisational fads. I like rigorous research applied in an organisational context in a practical way. A free lunch and funky offices are great, but it doesn’t retain people and it doesn’t make them want to do a good job.. I like working on things that matter.
I build great leaders, prepare organisations for their future talent needs and design development opportunities for people who truly want to develop. I ask the tricky questions that get to the heart of business strategy to drive the right actions and behaviours. I have conversations that move people forward and work on the things that actually motivate and improve performance.
What else?
Most importantly I want women to have successful careers. I believe women should be financially independent and not give up their career. I have learnt a lot from working in male dominated industries and big, complex, challenging organisations. I impart this knowledge through my blog, speaking engagements, my career in large organisations, through coaching conversations and through inspirational events where women can tell their stories and connect with other women.
